Penn’orth Gothic is a letter-writing game inspired by the Gothic and ghost stories from the 19th and early 20th century. Players write letters to each other as if they were characters in a story, and gradually build a plot through through their back and forth narration. The game comes with a bound copy of the booklet, a custom deck of cards, 3 replica coins, a bone die together in a linen bag.
The idea of the game is to collaboratively tell a story with one (or more) other writers through the medium of letters sent through the mail. The writers supply each other with invented facts to create twists and dramatic reveals for each other. The Cards Coins and Die add an additional element of the unexpected to the events as they transpire.
The booklet can also be purchased as a PDF, and the custom deck can also be purchased on its own.
